Linda Salmonson Olson​, Pastor

Linda Salmonson Olson was called to lead Shepherd of Life on 7/1/18 and was installed on 7/15/18.

Linda attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and transferred to Oregon Health Sciences University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She practiced ICU nursing until she became involved in Medical Review Services in the medical insurance industry. She climbed to National Director of Medical Auditing Services for her company in Philadelphia.

In 1993, after discerning a call to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament, she entered Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, California. Graduating in 1997 with a Master of Divinity degree, she was ordained a month later and accepted her first call to Our Savior's Lutheran in Ferndale in northern California for 5 years. Then moving to southern California, she spent 5 years as a hospice chaplain.

She is very excited at this time that God has put her in a place to serve such a vibrant congregation as Shepherd of Life. The opportunity to grow and rejoice together are a blessing for both Sheldon and Linda. 

Kristine Anderson, Council President

Kris serves faithfully as Shepherd of Life's Council President. Along with that title, she takes on numerous other responsibilities including leading music in worship and overseeing our finances. 

She is a devoted lover of animals and is a board member for Animal Friends of the Valleys. In addition to her care for shelter pets in need, she is an advocate for other organizations in the area, including Helping Our People in Elsinore (H.O.P.E.). 

We give thanks for her diligent efforts and desire to serve God in any capacity!
