Confirmation |
Sunday School meets during worship on Sunday mornings. When children arrive at church, they are welcomed and invited to worship with their families. Before the sermon, the pastor will invite them up for a Children's Message before they are led to the Sunday School room. There, one of our volunteer teachers will lead them through an engaging lesson designed to teach them something special about who God is and how much God loves them.
After the offering is collected in worship, the children are walked back to the sanctuary. They participate in the rest of worship, including communion. |
The Confirmation Schedule varies depending on the number of students involved and their schedules. Contact the pastor for more details.
Confirmation is designed to help middle-school age youth learn more about the Lutheran Faith, the Bible, and developing their own faith life. We operate on a three-year cycle: one year of the Old Testament, one year of the New Testament, and one year of Luther and Faith Life. The culmination of these three years is an Affirmation of Baptism in which each youth has the opportunity to publicly affirm their faith in God, first instilled in them in their baptism. If a Confirmation student has not yet been baptized, they will be invited to consider being baptized at this time. |
